OS user JWDixon120 is always coming up with interesting stuff to try and improve the experience in The Show, and the Sabermetric Lineup Organizer is another tool that you can use in MLB The Show 24 to improve your lineups.

We’ve showcased the all-inclusive franchise spreadsheet before from JWDixon, and this could be a part of it for sure. The Lineup Optimizer is something that’s fun to use, and all you need to do is go to the Google Doc and put the players and their ratings into that doc. From there, the document takes over and puts in the best lineup vs. LHP and RHP. If you’re not familiar with Google Docs, just remember to make a copy of the file, otherwise you won’t be able to edit it and make it your own.

One other note about this tool is that you could also use it in franchise mode for other teams. If you do 30-team control, you can set the lineups for everyone else, or you could just set the lineups for your opponent you’re about to meet in a series.

I even tried it out with my own team (I’m in June in my file) just to see if my lineup was optimized. This tool absolutely spit out a different lineup than what I’m currently using. I took it under advisement but since it doesn’t know which players I suck with or struggle with due to their stances or whatever else, I mostly kept my lineups the same. Regardless, the point here is it’s something that’s useful for simulations, other teams, your own team, and so on. It’s that GM telling you what it thinks, but you’re still the manager so you control that lineup card.

It’s all about keeping things fresh in any way possible in an MLB The Show 24 franchise playthrough, so here’s to hoping JWDixon keeps finding fun little ways to keep things interesting for all of us hardcore franchise players. Thanks as always JW!
